An Online Course Student Portal on Your Own Domain
Every Vonza online course comes with a student portal on your own domain and brand. Every Vonza course is delivered through a student portal on your own domain and brand: progress and streaks, a player that resumes where they stopped, quizzes, assignments, certificates, a library and billing, all behind one login.
Three moments students notice
The portal is built around the small things that keep a student going: picking up where they left off, knowing why a lesson is locked, and handing work in from wherever they are.
A player that remembers where they stopped
Students open a course and go straight back to the lesson and the second they left. The outline sits beside the video with Previous and Next, a speed control and a Download or Open file button for files.
Locked lessons explain themselves
When a lesson is held back, the portal says why in plain words: a date, a course to finish first, a payment still due or a quiz to pass. No support ticket needed, and the lesson still counts toward progress.
Hand-ins from a laptop or a phone
Assignments are handed in from the lesson: drag files in, write an answer, or both. On a phone, students take a photo of their work and send it. Late hand-ins are marked, and the grade shows up in the same panel.
Everything a student needs, in one login
Courses, community, downloads, live sessions and billing sit behind one login on your site, so students never hunt for a link.
Progress and streaks
A progress ring per course, a day streak on the home screen and a count of lessons done this week.
Resume where they stopped
The player reopens at the exact second, with the outline, a speed control and downloads beside it.
Drip and prerequisites explained
Locked lessons say when they unlock, which course to finish first, which payment is due or which quiz to pass.
Quizzes and assignments
Pass marks, attempts left and best scores for quizzes; file, text or photo hand-ins with a grade for assignments.
Certificates
Earned certificates appear under Your certificates and download as PDFs the moment they are issued.
Library and orders
Digital downloads with the downloads they have left, and physical orders with their status and courier link.
Billing and instalments
Payment history, the next payment, instalment and flexible plans, overdue notices and a saved card on Stripe or Paystack.
Live sessions and recordings
Live now, upcoming and past sessions with Join, Add to calendar and the recording when it ends.
Your brand, your domain
The portal is part of your Vonza site, so students sign in at your subdomain or your custom domain and see your logo and colours, in light or dark mode. One login covers courses, community, library, live sessions and billing, and notifications and help live inside the portal rather than in your inbox.
- Runs at your subdomain or custom domain with your logo and colours
- Light, dark or system appearance, chosen by each student
- One login for courses, community, library, live sessions and billing
- Notifications and help inside the portal, not in your support inbox
How the student portal works on Vonza
From enrolment to certificate, without leaving your site.
- STEP 01
Enroll or pay
A student joins or buys a course on your sales page and gets a login to your portal; access starts the moment they pay.
- STEP 02
Land on Home
The home screen greets them by name, shows what to pick up next, their streak and stats, and any live session coming up.
- STEP 03
Learn, hand in, pass
Lessons play in order with the outline beside them; assignments are handed in and quizzes passed from the lesson itself.
- STEP 04
Earn and keep
The certificate lands under Your certificates, downloads stay in the Library and every payment shows in Billing.
Questions about the student portal
Get answers to common questions here
Yes. Every Vonza course is delivered through a student portal on your own site. Students log in once and see Home, Learn, Community, Library and Live, with Profile, Billing, Forms, Notifications and Help in the menu. There is nothing extra to buy or install.
Yes. The portal is part of your Vonza platform site, so it runs at your Vonza subdomain or at a custom domain you connect, with your logo and colours. Students can choose a light, dark or system appearance.
Yes. The home screen shows a Pick up where you left off card, and the player reopens the lesson with a Resume at time, so a student goes straight back to the second they left. The outline, Previous and Next, a speed control and file downloads sit beside the video.
A locked lesson shows the reason in plain words: Unlocks on a date or in a number of days, Finish a named course first, Unlocks after a number of payments, Pass a named quiz to unlock, or Complete a quiz first when lessons run in order. Lessons the admin has turned off still count toward progress and the portal says so.
Both happen from the lesson. A quiz shows its question count, pass mark, attempts left and best score, and a passed quiz unlocks what depends on it. An assignment has a Hand in your work panel: upload files, write an answer, or both, with a Take a photo button on phones. Late hand-ins are marked, and the grade appears in the same panel once you mark it.
Yes. Billing lists payment history, the next payment and any overdue amount, with Make a payment, Pay next payment and Pay remaining balance for instalment and flexible plans, plus invoices and receipts. A card can be saved on Stripe or Paystack for scheduled payments.
Yes, on the School plan. Students on a degree program see a Program page and a Transcript with grades from A to F, graded credits, quality points, total credits and a cumulative GPA weighted by credit hours, downloadable as a PDF, plus My Admissions for applications.
No. The portal is a website that works in the browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. On a phone, the assignment panel adds a Take a photo button so students can hand in work with the camera.
