Order Bumps for Every Checkout, Funnel and Form

An order bump is a small extra the buyer ticks on the checkout before paying. Add up to 5 to a Vonza checkout, a funnel’s checkout step or a payment form, and every order can be worth a little more.

What is an order bump?

An order bump is an extra offer placed on the checkout page itself, next to the payment form. The buyer adds it with a tick before paying, and it is charged in the same payment as the main item.

Because the buyer has already decided to buy, a small, closely related extra is an easy yes: a workbook with a course, the recordings with a coaching programme, a planner with a membership.

An order bump is not the same as an upsell. A bump is shown before payment, on the checkout. An upsell is shown after payment, on its own screen.

Add order bumps wherever you take payment

The same idea in four places, so the extra sits next to whatever you sell.

  • Checkouts

Switch on “Show bump offers at checkout” and add up to 5. Each one is something you sell, or a custom line you deliver yourself.

    Vonza checkout pages
  • Funnel checkout steps

A funnel’s checkout step takes up to 5 optional extras, with one switch to turn them on or off for the whole funnel.

    Sales funnels
  • Payment forms

A form that takes payment can show up to 5 add-ons next to the pay button: a course, a product, or something you deliver yourself.

  • Courses

Add bump offers to a course from its Marketing area, so the course checkout offers the extra too.

Everything an order bump needs

What you can set on each bump offer of a Vonza checkout.

  • Up to 5 per checkout

Offer one extra or several, each with its own price.

  • Ticked by default

Choose whether a bump starts ticked, so the buyer unticks it if they do not want it.

  • Anything you sell

A course, product, membership, bundle or community, given to the buyer the moment they pay.

  • Or a custom extra

A line on the bill for something you deliver yourself, such as a call or a review.

  • Shipping for physical items

Add a shipping amount to a bump that sends a physical product.

  • A picture and one line

Give each bump a title, an optional picture and one line on why it is worth it.

  • Itemised order emails

Orders with add-ons send an itemised email to the buyer and to you. You can mute your copy.

  • No double charges

Vonza will not charge a buyer for an item they already own.

The same content, another way to use it.

It ships in the same order.

Open your checkout in the designer, go to Bump offers and switch on “Show bump offers at checkout”.

  • STEP 02

Tick it by default, then publish

Choose whether it starts ticked, add up to 4 more, and publish. The bumps appear above the pay button.
