An LMS With Quizzes and Assignments Built Into Every Course

Vonza is an LMS with quizzes and assignments built into every course. Check understanding with four question types, set pass marks and attempts, collect assignments with due dates and grade everything from one inbox, all inside Vonza, the all-in-one platform for creators, coaches and schools.

Three ways students show what they know

A quiz with pictures, an assignment they hand in from a phone, or a graded result that unlocks the next lesson. Each one lives inside the course, next to the lesson it belongs to.

  • Four question types, with pictures

Single choice, multiple choice, true/false and short answer. Put an image on the question or on any answer, mark the correct ones and give each question its points, up to twenty answers per question.

    • One inbox for every submission

Hand-ins from every course land in one Submissions inbox. Filter to what is ungraded or late, open a submission, give marks out of the total and move to the next with a key press.

    • Results that unlock the next step

Students see their score, how many attempts are left and whether they passed. A quiz can be required before the next lesson opens, can release drip content when it is passed, and can hold the certificate until every quiz is passed.

Built for teaching, not just testing

Every setting a teacher needs to turn a quiz into a checkpoint and an assignment into real practice.

  • Four question types

Single choice, multiple choice, true/false and short answer, mixed freely in one quiz.

  • Images on questions and answers

Show a chart, a screenshot or a diagram and let students pick the right picture.

  • Points and pass marks

Give each question its points and set the percentage needed to pass, from 0 to 100.

  • Attempts and retakes

Allow one try or up to ninety-nine, and let students retake after a fail until the limit.

  • Graded or practice

A graded quiz counts toward the student’s quiz average; a practice quiz does not.

  • Must-pass gating

Require a quiz before the next lesson opens, or release a section only after a quiz is passed.

  • Assignments with files and due dates

Attach templates and examples, set a due date, and late hand-ins are flagged for you.

  • One inbox across courses

Every submission from every course in one list, with ungraded and late views and a grading sheet.

Assignments students can hand in from anywhere

Write the instructions, attach the files students need, set a due date and the total marks. Students upload their work by drag-and-drop on a computer or take a photo on a phone, add a written answer if you asked for one, and submit once. You grade from the inbox and the student sees the marks in their portal.

  • Instructions, files for students and a due date on every assignment
  • Hand in by drag-and-drop, a photo from a phone, or a written answer
  • Late submissions are flagged; you decide what to do with them
  • Notify every enrolled student by email when an assignment is posted

How quizzes and assignments work on Vonza

From a lesson block to a graded result, in four steps.

  • STEP 01

Add a quiz or assignment to a lesson

Both are lesson blocks, next to video, text and files. Vonza AI can draft a quiz per module when it builds your course.

  • STEP 02

    Set the rules

Pass mark, attempts, retakes and whether it is graded; for an assignment, the instructions, files, due date and total points.

  • STEP 03

Students take it or hand it in

Quizzes score instantly and show attempts left. Assignments are uploaded from a computer or a phone camera, then submitted once.

  • STEP 04

Grade from the inbox and let certificates follow

Mark short answers from the quiz’s Results tab and assignments from one inbox. A passed quiz can unlock the next lesson, a drip section or the certificate.

Questions about course quizzes and assignments

Four: single choice, multiple choice, true/false and short answer. A question can carry an image and so can each of its answers, up to twenty answers per question, and every question has its own points. Short answers are graded by you from the Results tab; the other three are scored automatically.

Yes. The passing score is a percentage from 0 to 100 and the attempt limit runs from one to ninety-nine. Switch on "Allow retake" and students can try again after failing, up to that limit. Students see the pass mark and how many attempts they have left before they start.

Yes, in three ways. A quiz can be required before the next lesson opens, so the student sees "Complete the quiz first". A section of the course can be dripped "After a quiz is passed". And the course certificate can be held until every quiz in the course is passed.

A graded quiz counts toward the student’s quiz average, which you see in the Results tab and which can gate certificates. Switch "Graded" off and the quiz becomes practice: students still get their score and feedback, but it does not count.

You write the instructions, attach any files students need, set a due date and, if it is graded, the total points. Students upload files by drag-and-drop or take a photo on a phone, add a written answer if you asked for one, and submit once. Submissions after the due date are marked late. You grade from the Submissions inbox and the student sees the marks in their portal.

From one Inbox for the whole school, which lists comments and submissions across all courses. Filter to Ungraded or Late, open a submission to read the answer and files, enter marks out of the total, save, and press J or K to move to the next one.

A Forms quiz is a stand-alone form you share by link or embed, built for lead generation and surveys, with results shown as charts. A course quiz lives inside a course: it scores students, can be required before the next lesson, can release drip content and can gate the certificate. Use Forms to qualify an audience and course quizzes to teach the people who enrolled.

Yes, when it builds the course. Create a course from uploaded videos or from a written brief and Vonza AI drafts a quiz of two to five questions at the end of each module, marked as a draft until you review it. You can edit every question, add your own or delete the quiz.
