Vonza vs Skool
Vonza vs Skool: which community platform fits your business?
Skool is a simple community with courses, calls and levels, a $9 entry plan and a fee on every sale. Vonza runs the community beside your courses, website, funnels, email and SMS in one login, with a flat platform fee on paid plans. Skool’s figures below come from its own pricing page and help center, read on 2026-11-02.
Vendor figures read on 2026-11-02 from each vendor’s own pages.
Vonza or Skool: the short answer
Both run a paid community with courses. The difference is what sits around it.
Choose Vonza if
- You want a website, sales funnels, email and SMS marketing in the same login as your community.
- You want more ways to charge: installments, flexible payments, pay what you want and paid spaces, paid through Stripe or Paystack.
- You run workshops, webinars, office hours and live streams from one events calendar.
- You would rather pay the same platform fee on every paid plan than choose between Hobby’s 10% and Pro’s higher monthly price.
Choose Skool if
- You want the simplest possible setup and the lowest entry price, $9 a month on Hobby.
- You want members to find you through Skool’s own search and its Growth Boost ads.
- You want a mobile app and Skool to handle payments as merchant of record, including EU VAT.
- Community, a classroom and calls are all you need, and you run marketing elsewhere.

Where Skool is stronger, and where Vonza is

- Being found: Skool lists groups in its own search and, with Growth Boost, runs ads for you for a 30% commission on the customers it brings.
- Mobile: Skool has an app, and calls run inside it. Vonza works in the phone’s browser.
- Paperwork: Skool is the merchant of record and handles EU VAT for you.

- Everything around the community: website, landing pages, funnels, email and SMS, none of which Skool lists.
- Ways to charge: seven plan kinds, including installments, flexible payments and pay what you want, and paid spaces inside one community, paid through your own Stripe or Paystack account.

Vonza vs Skool: your questions
Answered from the pages we read, with the date we read them.
It depends on what you need around the community. Skool is the simpler and cheaper start: a feed, a classroom, calls and levels from $9 a month, with a fee on every sale. Vonza suits creators who also want a website, funnels, email and SMS marketing and more pricing options in the same login, with a flat platform fee on paid plans.
Not on the monthly price: Skool’s Hobby plan was $9 a month and Pro $99 a month when we read its pricing page on 2026-11-02, and Vonza’s cheapest plan costs more than Hobby (its live price is in the table above). Skool also takes 10% + 30¢ of each sale on Hobby and 2.9% + 30¢ on Pro, while Vonza charges a flat platform fee on paid plans, so against Hobby the gap narrows as your sales grow.
Per Skool’s help center on 2026-11-02: 10% + 30¢ per transaction on Hobby, 2.9% + 30¢ on Pro for transactions up to $899 and 3.9% + 30¢ above $900. Growth Boost, on by default, adds a 30% commission on customers Skool brings you and can be turned off. Transaction fees are non-refundable.
Yes. On Vonza members earn a point for each post, comment and reaction, climb levels you name (each level can carry a reward such as a course), earn ranks for time in the community and appear on a leaderboard. On Skool, points come from likes received, with nine fixed levels.
No. Vonza has no native app: the member site works in any phone browser, and members get email and in-app notifications. Skool’s help center says you can go live “natively in the app or on the browser”, so if a dedicated app matters to your members, that counts for Skool.
Yes. Skool’s Classroom holds video lessons with drip and level locks, and a course can be sold with Buy Now. Vonza Courses adds AI course creation, quizzes and assignments and certificates, and you link a course to the whole community or to one space.
Neither is listed on Skool’s pricing page or in the help center articles we read on 2026-11-02; each group has an About page and a custom URL. Vonza includes a website builder, landing pages, sales funnels and email and SMS marketing.
Yes. Vonza migrates your courses, communities and calendar for free with any annual Pro or Business plan: choose the plan, tell support what you are bringing from Skool, and the team moves it. Anything else can be moved for a fee. You can keep Skool running until you have checked everything.
