# Event Registration Forms and RSVP Forms > An event registration form collects who is coming, what they need and, for a paid event, the ticket price, in one step. With the new Vonza Forms you start from a registration or RSVP template, cap the places, set a closing date and send every guest a confirmation. ## What is an event registration form? An event registration form is the online form people fill in to sign up for an event: a conference, a webinar, a class, a race or a camp. It records who is coming, collects what you need to plan, such as ticket type, sessions and dietary needs, and often takes the payment. An RSVP form is the lighter version for an invitation. It asks one question first, whether the guest is coming, then only what matters for a yes, such as the number of guests and a meal choice. | Compared | Registration form | RSVP form | | --- | --- | --- | | What it answers | Who is coming and what they need | Whether the guest is coming | | Usually asks | Name, email, ticket, sessions, dietary needs | Yes or no, guests, meal choice | | Payment | Often paid: tickets, entry fees, places | Usually free | | Vonza templates | Conference, Webinar, Race, Summer camp | Wedding RSVP, Community meetup RSVP | ## Registration and RSVP templates to start from The eight forms in the Events & bookings category, each a finished design you can change and publish. - **Conference registration**: Ticket type, up to two workshops, dietary needs and an RSVP for the evening party. When each person needs their own appointment, add the Book a time block. - Book a time sends the respondent to one of your Vonza booking events in a new tab. - The response records that they opened the booking page, and the booking itself appears in Scheduling. - Running the webinar on Vonza too? Host it with live streaming, with reminders for the people you invite. - [Free online appointment scheduling](https://vonza.com/free-online-appointment-scheduling) - [Live streaming for webinars](https://vonza.com/live-streaming) - [Events inside a Vonza community](https://vonza.com/community-events) ## How to make an event registration form Three steps in the new Vonza Forms. 1. **Pick a template**: Start from a registration or RSVP template, describe your event to Vonza AI, or start blank. 2. **Add guests and tickets**: Add a Repeating group for guests, then turn on Payments if places are paid. 3. **Set the limits, then publish**: Limit responses to your capacity, choose the close date and publish. An event registration form is an online form people fill in to sign up for an event. It records who is coming, collects what you need to plan, such as ticket type, sessions or dietary needs, and can take the payment for a paid event. ### What is the difference between a registration form and an RSVP form? An RSVP form answers whether an invited guest is coming, then asks only what matters for a yes, such as guests and a meal choice. A registration form signs people up for an event and usually asks more, often with a ticket price. ### Can one person register several guests? Yes. Add a Repeating group, and the person filling in the form can add each guest with an “Add another” button, answering the same questions for every guest, up to 50 rows. ### Can I limit the number of registrations? Yes. Turn on “Limit responses” and the form closes automatically once that many people have registered. You can also set the date it opens and the date it closes. ### Can I charge for registration? Yes. Turn on Payments to sell tickets or places as prices, with up to 10 prices on one form, add-ons, discount codes and, on eligible plans, instalments. Buyers pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna or PayPal. ### Do registrants get a confirmation email? Yes. Turn on the email to the respondent and they get a confirmation, with their answers attached as a PDF if you choose. The form needs an Email question for this. ### Can people book a time slot on the form? The Book a time block sends people to one of your Vonza booking events in a new tab. The response records that they opened it, and the booking itself appears in Scheduling. For appointments, a booking page is usually the better tool. ### Where do registrations go? Every registration is a response you can search, filter and export to CSV or Excel. Everyone who leaves an email also becomes a CRM contact, tagged as you choose.
