# What’s New in Vonza Community: AI Setup, Templates, Paid Spaces, Events and More > The Vonza Community update: a new community app, Create with Vonza AI, six templates, seven plan kinds, live streams, levels and ranks, stories and moderation. By Uyi Abraham (Founder and CEO, Vonza). Published 2026-11-02, updated 2026-11-02. Category: Vonza product. 6 min read. Canonical: https://vonza.com/blog/whats-new-in-vonza-community Vonza Community has been rebuilt. There is a new app for running communities, an AI setup that drafts a community from a sentence, ready-made templates, more ways to charge, event formats with live streaming, a full points and levels system, stories and polls, chat rules and a moderation queue. This post goes through each area in turn and links to the page that covers it in depth. For the overview, start on the [community platform](https://vonza.com/best-community-platform) page. ## A new community app Communities now have their own admin app. The owner's side is organised around the things you do every day: the feed and its spaces, members, events, content, pricing, the leaderboard, chat settings, moderation and analytics. A community-wide search finds posts, members, spaces, events, content and settings, and the "/" key opens it from anywhere. The building blocks are spaces and rooms. Spaces are the main areas of your community; rooms are channels inside them. A space can be public, private, paid or read only, with its own emoji, colour, cover and announcement banner. You can save any space as a template and reuse it in your other communities. ## Create with Vonza AI New communities start in a three-step wizard (Start, Customize, Finish) with three options: Create with Vonza AI, Start from a template or Start blank. Create with Vonza AI takes a description of who the community is for, up to 1,000 characters, and one of seven tones: Friendly, Professional, Casual, Encouraging, Playful, Authoritative or Persuasive. It then works through three stages, Blueprint, Spaces and Images, and hands you an editable draft with spaces, welcome posts and images. Nothing is public until you publish, and the Finish step shows a short checklist: a name, at least one space, an icon or colour, and who can join. The AI uses AI credits, which are included on every plan, with top-ups available. The full walk-through is on the [AI community builder](https://vonza.com/ai-community-builder) page. ## Six community templates and four sales-page templates If you would rather start from a proven layout, there are six community templates, each with its spaces and rooms filled in: - **Course cohort:** Announcements, Weekly lessons, Study groups, Wins. - **Coaching:** Start here, Goals & check-ins, Q&A, Resources. - **Creator fan club:** Behind the scenes, Hangout, Fan creations. - **Local club:** Noticeboard, Meetups, Introductions, Marketplace. - **Product customers:** Announcements, Help & questions, Feature ideas, Show and tell. - **Mastermind:** Hot seat, Accountability, Resources. The public sales page has four templates of its own. Original is the classic look with the join card on the right. Standard puts the cover on top, spaces on the left and the join card on the right. Stage centres the name under the cover with a stats bar and photo tiles. Rail sets the name on the cover, the join card on the left and a row per space. The page lives on your own site and brand, and Customize opens it in the AI website builder. Both sets are compared on the [community templates](https://vonza.com/community-templates) page. ## Seven plan kinds and paid spaces A community can now carry several plans at once, in seven kinds: Free, One-Time Purchase, Subscription Plan (weekly, monthly or yearly), Recurring Payment, Installment Plan (up to 100 payments), Flexible Payment and Pay What You Want. Paid access works at two levels. A whole community can be paid, and a single space can have its own plans, so you can keep a free community with a paid inner circle. A community plan can also unlock chosen spaces. Owners can add a free trial of 1 to 365 days to subscription and installment plans, set how long access lasts, allow coupons, add a fee, and ask members to accept terms of use. Members pay at checkout through Stripe or Paystack, and can upgrade or downgrade from their own You page. Read more on the [paid community platform](https://vonza.com/paid-community-platform) page. ## Event formats and live streams Events now start from scratch or from one of seven formats: Q&A, Workshop, Co-working, Webinar, Office hours, Live stream and Meetup. A format fills in the title, description, length and place, and adds its own settings, such as a question queue for a Q&A or slots for office hours. Events can repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, and can be shown to the whole community or selected spaces. Members RSVP with I'm going, add the event to their calendar, and get reminder emails 24 hours, 30 minutes and 5 minutes before it starts. Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and the other meeting options are labels for a link you paste in; live streams run in Vonza's own room. Go live is in the post composer. It starts a stream with camera, mic and screen share, posts it to the feed, lets other admins join as guests, and the recording appears about a minute after the stream ends. See [community events](https://vonza.com/community-events). ## Points, levels, ranks and a leaderboard Members earn 1 point for each post, comment and new reaction. Owners define levels by points and attach rewards to them: a course, a digital product or another reward described in your own words, granted automatically when a member reaches the level. Ranks follow time in the community, from 0 up to 3,650 days, each with a badge. The leaderboard shows the top three on a podium. Members see All time or the Last 30 days and their own place; in the admin you can also look at the last 7 or 90 days. Celebrations mark milestones such as a first post, a new level, activity streaks and reaction milestones. The details are on the [community gamification](https://vonza.com/community-gamification) page. ## Stories, polls and post ideas Stories are a photo or a 15-second clip that stays up for 24 hours, with a text overlay and a button to a web address or a space. Owners decide whether members can post stories too. Polls sit in the composer: hosts add 2 to 10 options and keep voting open for 1, 3, 7 or 14 days, and members can add polls of 2 to 6 options to their own posts. The composer also schedules posts, writes with AI, and offers Post ideas, including a weekly cadence (Intro Monday, Question Wednesday, Win Friday) that schedules three posts at once. An announcement bar can run at the top of the community with a scheduled start. All of it is on the [community engagement tools](https://vonza.com/community-engagement-tools) page. ## Chat rules Chat is one-to-one direct messaging with photos and files. What is new is control over who can start a chat. In Chat settings the owner picks Everyone, Paid members, From a level or Admins only, and a space can have its own rule. Members choose how often they get chat emails: Instant, Weekly or Never. More on the [community chat](https://vonza.com/community-chat) page. ## A moderation queue and rules Moderation has its own area with five tabs: Reported, Flagged, Pending approval, Rules and Audit log. From the queue you approve, hide or delete content, and warn, mute or ban its author. The rules are owner settings: up to 200 banned words that either flag a post for review or hide it until approved, approval of a new contributor's first posts (up to 20), and blocking links. Members can report posts and members with one of seven reasons, and can block each other. Owners, admins and founders are never moderated. See [community moderation](https://vonza.com/community-moderation). ## The member side, in the browser on any phone Members use the community in their browser, on a phone or a computer, with nothing to install. They move between the Feed, Classroom, Events, Members, Leaderboard, Chat and their own You page, in the community's own colours. On a phone, the sections sit in a row of chips with a Spaces menu; on a desktop, in a rail that folds away. There is no native app and no push notifications. Members hear about activity in the in-app bell and choose their emails per community: a daily, weekly or monthly digest, reminders of unread notifications, chat emails, and new posts from the hosts. ## Where to start If you already run a community on Vonza, open it and look at Pricing, Events and Leaderboard first: those are the areas with the most new settings. If you are starting fresh, try Create with Vonza AI or a template and publish when the checklist is green. Community counts per plan are on the [pricing](https://vonza.com/pricing) page. ## Frequently asked questions ### What changed in Vonza Community?
